Hey, Girl!
D R A G yourself into the 21st century and at LEAST TRY tampons.
On heaviest flow days sometimes I have to wear a tampon and a light pad.
But give that simple technology a chance!
And as mentioned above, change them often

First of all it is not a thing you have every month it is called your period. You need to use a pad designed for a heavy flow. Try several different brands that say for heavy flow to find the one that works best for you. Tampons by the way is not the answer either as they will only absorb so much. If the heavy flow really causes problems you can talk to your doc about this. There is nothing to be embarrassed about all of this as all women have been in your situation at one time or another.

well i used to have a heavy flow myself until i developed polycystic ovarian syndrome which is a whole nother story...anyway i found the best solution was to wear a tampon along with an overnight pad...its almost impossible to leak that way which can be a terribly embarrassing problem...anyway as far as inserting the tampon, just read the instructions on the back of the box...after a few times it should become a lot easier and less uncomfortable...i know a lot of people on her are saying you are too young but i think you'll be fine just so long as you're careful...i started my period at 11 but didn't start using tampons till i was 13, so everyone's different...but really after a few trys you should be fine

Tampons are very easy to use, just follow the directions that come in the package, they're very helpful. The most important thing is to relax. This is a natural function of your body, nothing to get too excited over. When you're a few years older and become sexually active you may want to consider birth control pills as they will also regulate your period and can help make it less heavy. Good luck!

With your middle finger and your thumb, insert the end of the applicator with the cotton in it up into your vagina, pushing against the small, hollow part of the applicator with your pointer finger. When you can feel that the cotton is up past your pubic bone, pull on the large part of the applicator while holding the small, hollow part steady so that the cotton stays in place. Just go get a box of tampons and if you mess it up a couple times, no biggie. You'll figure it out. Don't listen to these people. If you want to try tampons, do it. Just make sure not to leave them in more than a couple of hours.

I had this same problem, since the age of twelve. It can be really bothersome, especially when all your panties are stained and your bleeding through all the time. I thanked God when they came out with Good Nights!! I could wear them without being embarrassed. I used them with pads when I had REALLY heavy days!! When my flow started to get lighter I used smaller pads and then light panty protectors!! I wouldn`t try tampons yet, you`ll be bleeding through anyhow!! Also, you may want to try birth control, it does lighten your flow, ask your Mom to take you to the doctor to discuss this option. It`s no fun having heavy flow when your young, it`s embarassing and messy!! Good luck!!!

Each and every tampon package has the instructions printed on a pamphlet inside. That will explain it very clearly. You will be able to understand. It really is not that difficult. Good luck. Just be careful to change the tampons frequestly--read the warnings very carefully about TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome). It is rare, but it is also life threatening.

Well, mine is VERY HEAVY too, like yours!! Um.. I haven't started useing tampons yet. But, if you aren't going to use them just yet, wear like 2 pads and change them every hour. That's what I do when I'm at school. Sometimes more reguarly at home.
And NEVER use a tampon that is for a heavyer flow than the one that your on.

Ok, if I read your question right you wanna know how to use a tampon? Well, you take the tampon, insert the side that does not have the string hanging out. Only insert it until it is half way inside your vagina. Then push up on the side with the string until it seems like the whole thing is in your vagina. Then pull down on the same part that you pushed up on. The string will be dangling from your vagina, and you will have successfully put a tampon in. If you have any more questions feel free to write me at christchick247@yahoo.com. Hope this helps. :)

start off with a regular size tampon u don't want to go too big...try pearl they are the best...insert the tampon into your vagina until the end of the plastic piece is in...then push it releasing the tampon into your vagina...then go stan up and sit on a hard chair or make sure it doesn't feel like it is un comftorable...if it is just go to the bathroom and put your finger in ur vagina and push the tampon up until u feel that it is comftorable for you, but do not let the string go to far into u because u don't want it to get stuck...do not wear the tampon for no longer than 2-3 hours because it can cause problems...hope i hjelped u and good luck
