Defiantly , if you can live in those conditions compared to France .
If its ok with you then there are so many multinationals and global Indian organizations who would like to benefit from your french experience .
You didn't mentioned which branch of engineer you are !

u have not mentioned which branch of engineering u belong to. accordingly, u could approach any of the companies looking for fresh graduates. getting information of that sort will not be difficult from the net. there are also many french firms which have employees in India, u could apply there too.
there are many expats working here, so that should not be a problem. plus u have lived & worked here earlier would definitely work to your advantage. all the best.

I would say try to get some job offer before going to India. Log on to sites like www.naukari.com or some more could be easily found at google. And then your pathway of going to India is clear. Good luck and have fun!!!

Contact Indian embassy/consulate near you see what they say about exchange program.
