mix a small portion if dish soap with water (in a spray bottle) add about a teaspoon of cayenne pepper (ant HATE capsaicin which cayenne contains a lot of) spray around the outside of your house and at any entrances. This will help to keep them outside.

I have had good luck with Terro Ant killer. You can get it at walmart for about $2. Looks like corn syrup and I think it has borax in it.

I have used borax I sprinkle where they are coming in and around the area where I have seen them.
