What you are looking for is DVD+R DL or -R DL. DL is dual layer and have a 8.5GB capacity rating. This is what DVD-9 is.

best buy or any reatail store should really have them they're either called double layerd or dual layered DVDs they consist of really 8.7 GB of memory but you should really keep your eyes out for DVDs that will say DVD R DL or DVD RW DL they may say 8.5 or 8.7 GB but they still are DVD-9 disks
