Most people strive to be at or above middle class. That is why people go to college, at least that is why I went. Gone are the days a woman can just be a house wife and not worry about the bills. I want better for my children. Those who stay no are lying. If youd offer them a million dollars theyd take it.

I'd never admit to 'striving' for middle class -- It seems I'm always aiming higher, but middle class is where I'm at and it isn't so bad!
As far as middle class values are concerned -- I'm not sure what you are referring to -- if it's low self esteem and no morals, then NO, I'm maintaining a HIGH class form of living!

Not no but hell no. I guess you could say cme from middle . But now I realize a lot of the values instilled in me were just b.s. I now do what I want. Drugs, women and a low paying job thats me. Poor white trash. I love it

No.
I suppose I could be called middle class - ie, I own a house, nice car, I have a degree and work in a 'professional' capacity.
my parents were working class. we rented our house, never owned a car and dad was a blue collar worker with a basic education - and I am immensely proud of my parents and my upbringing.
I deplore 'class' classifications...I never sought to be any class, just make my parents proud

No way! I'm totally indie. Being kind of poor definitely has its disadvantages. Living in a "nice house with a picket fence" or being married with 2 or more children are not among them. Also, I am disabled and I realize that one of liberties that we have that regular people don't have is that we're allowed to be different, because we're expected to be different.

Moneywise I do aspire to be anywhere between $10,000 a year or higher (I'm really poor right now). But I don't know about the value systems. I kind of march to the beat of my own drum.

I consider myself to be middle class already, but it costs a bloody fortune.

There is barely a middle class anymore, and soon there won't even be one. Where have you been? Pick up a couple of newspapers.
