So that you can still hear them when you are in the kitchen making a cup of tea.

Obviously, the makers of these commercials think everyone is hard of hearing. They also bump up the volume from the normal show you are watching, I guess to gain your attention. But like you, I will not buy anything from anyone who screams at me. Actually, all commercials are a waste of time as far as I am concerned. I buy what I like, what I need, not what some commercial is telling me to buy.

BANG! AND THE DIRT IS GONE!
The single most annoying advert on TV at the moment. If it wasn't for all the shouting I might actually have bought the stuff.

I assume those adverts do attract new customers to the products because they keep paying to have them broadcast.
I agree with you. I don't buy their products because I get irritated by their adverts. Yelling at me doesn't work.

I am of the same mind as you They're so (insert naughty word) annoying. i think the manufacturers do this because they think it will grab your attention. Which it does, only it annoys you so much you won't want to buy the product. Which kinda defeats the object!

I totally agree with you, I wouldn't buy their products either, out of sheer principle. Barry Scott and his Cillit Bang gets me really annoyed and so does that gobby c.o.w. who screams 'I'm gorgeous' in the weight watchers advert. !! xx

They really must think their viewers are either too dense or too deaf. They don't consider the fact that their are millions of discerning viewers out there who get turned off by this condescension.

Because it works. It got your attention didn't it? You're promoting their products right now, through word of mouth marketing.
