I am a vegetarian, and I skipped my last period. I spoke to my ginecologyst and she suggested a pregnancy test that was negative. After the test, she said that this could be caused by birth controll pills that I have been taking for around two years. Still, I had never skipped a period before, or had scarse bleeding as this month. I wonder if being a vegetarian (100% since june 2006) has anything to be with this.

Being a vegetarian will not make you skip a menstraul cycle. However, being drastically underweight can cause you to skip a period. Sometimes a preganancy test is not always accurate the first time around you may want to consider taking another one with in a few weeks. Don't forget that Febraury is a shorter month is there a possibility you miscaculated your cycle. Could be from your birth control pills as well. Go get blood tests if you are overly concerned...good luck!

most women experience some sort of irregularity at some point in their life, as your period is very sensitive to things like stress, weight loss or gain, or changes in diet. i don't think being a vegetarian has anything to do with it because you became a veggie a while ago, not recently. i'm not a doctor though, so if you wanted to ask him/her it wouldn't be a bad idea.

I am a vegetarian for many years, I have found if I don't get enough protein and iron in my diet my period will be lighter but it has never caused me to miss one. Make sure you are getting all the vitamins your body requires. I usually add a soy protein drink to my diet during my PMS time to help me not feel drained.

what variety of question is that? What you consume has absolutley no longer something to do which comprise your sessions, until you dont consume in any respect, then they could quit. Ive been a vegetarian for 7 years and have never ignored a era. hear on your wellbeing care provider and quit attempting to self diognose.

yes extreme changes in diet and exercise can cause you to skip a period. Women athletes and fashion models often experience this.

If you've lost a lot of weight suddenly (or if you're now under-weight), that could be why you've skipped a period. Or perhaps you were stressed this month?
