Me personaly no but you have to remember that the people in pc world know NOTHING about pcs..they only know how to sell them..if you go and ask them something technical they say the engineer is not in store but when you go back with a pc with a problem all they know how to do is blame the person returning the pc..So you really dont want to take advice from them.. online forums are the best place to start looking for answers..There are some wizards out there..Again be carefull and go to a well know forum..steve

I had a problem with them once. Had bought a new pc, packard bell, never buy one again. Had had it a couple of hours and was disappointed with its speed. Slower than my old 400 celeron running win 98 and my new pc was 2.2 celeron with xp. I complained to the shop and they advised me to reload windows which I did. It was ok but not much faster than my old machine. About 3 months later it kept hanging and got very slow, reloaded the software but didn't make any difference. Whe I rrung their help they tried to tell me that machines running xp ran slower. I asked if the guy thought I was an idiot as I had a machine running xp at work with no problems. I also still had the old machine and got them running side by side and just did simple tests like changing screensaver etc. In the end I had to put my daughter's boyfriend, who worked in IT, on the phone who told them to get someone out to it as the hard drive was faulty. This was after about 25 minutes on the phone. Engineer came round put a new drive in and commented that it was the same drive that had been found to be faulty in their E machines. It was ok after that. Best pc advice I had was from the manager in charge of computer section in comet.

Yup pc international is somewhat like the mc donalds of the pc industry. element is, they have zillions of minimun salary team that be attentive to infrequently something approximately desktops or the companies rules. in case you do get a reimbursement, i might sugest going to a small pc save, you get extra value for money and because they have much less purchasers they're extra at risk of shield you and make certain you come back to purchase extra!

Nope. Went to a PC World in Swindon, UK, got my PC checked out, got new ram installed, fair price for installation and RAM upgrade, no problems.

No, but they rip you off at £40 a 'service' and the same to install some ram. Being that it takes two minutes.

Their after-sales support stinks, really stinks. They take your money and help you out the door and forget about you.
I now use a small family-run PC shop in my town and they are far, far, far better.
PC World`s prices are a rip off also.
Don`t use them.... :-)
