There's a hole in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean that exposes the mantle. Its existence was discovered about 5 or so years ago and it continues to puzzle scientists. This may lead to many new understandings or altered theories in how the Earth works. What do you think about this?

I think it really cool that everyday new discoveries are being made. The best thing about science is that it can be proved wrong. I mean hundreds of years ago people thought the earth was flat, and now we know the earth is round.

well they should go explore it.i think that it may make a big chance for us to learn about the earth and how it owrks.but tehy shiuuld really find other plantets we can live on.maybe one day we will eav planet earth to find sa planet where there is sivilization able to be made.then not as many animals will be endangered!
and yes that is verychance,i mean a very big chnce to get to know alot about the earth.maybe something lives down there but maybe not. if it is lava they may want to be careful!

Hmmmmm . . . very interesting. Probably scary, too, once we find out what the implications are for the earth. In the meantime, we can just wait for further discoveries and information.

Yeah i know its pretty cool, a team from Cardiff university are going studying it, i think it will heal itself though in time, through volcanic activity
