Does she carry a backpack? If so have her put her sanitary supplies there and just take one out when she goes to the restroom.

Otherwise, many brands of pads are REALLY thin, and she can probably carry one in her pocket and not have to worry about it. Look into the Always brand (they have types that come folded up in little pouches).

She's just going to have to overcome her shyness. It sucks being a girl, but its just the way it's got to be and she's got to learn that EVERY girl has her period and EVERY girl has to carry sanitary supplies. If things get out of hand or you feel yourself becoming impatient, then maybe she should talk to Mom or the school nurse.

How about buying her a "special" purse as a gift and get her to use that. She must have to carry books to school, it could go in there.
