Ive tried turning it and all that stuff. it won't turn off the power to the car. Im thinking its the ignition switch cause i had problems with it every once in a while but just starting it. i never had a problem getting the key out. I had to disconnect the battery so it wouldnt die. and its pretty hard to turn the wheel without the car moving and no power steering...

probably the last time you used the car, you turned the ignition off when the steering wheel was in a turned position. Try turning the steering wheel hard to the opposite direction and turn the key at the same time, this should be the answer to the problem. Start the car and straigten the wheel out.
good luck.........

The car's ignition lock, like all locks are made of pins, so number
1) hit the ignition hard.. couple times, so the pins might drop down... and then try to jiggle the key... (up, and down).. and use OK strenght.. do not try too hard... keep trying to hit the ignition so the pins may go to different positions...

2) get a small item.. like a paper clip and point it into the ignition and push up on the top part.. dere is a little pin which is the last pin that locks the end point of the key in.. so push that while you jiggle and wiggle your key out...

3)well, jus use controled strengh.. and jigle the key... this is the best way to take it out without breaking it...

Exactly same thing happened to me multiple times before. Try to rotate and turn the steering wheel from side to side in different directions. After I do that for around 10 minutes, the key come out.

Sounds like the key tumbler is worn, Jiggle the key around and see if it shuts off. You may be able to actually pull the key out when running. Get a new key switch. you might be able to remove it by placing a paper clip into that little hole on the key and turning it from run to stop may shut is off. if not go into the trunk and find the inertia switch give it a good thump that will shut off fule flow in about 10 minutes.....I wouldn't pull a coil wire as that will cause other issues like flooding and error codes popping up.
