There is no turtle without a shell. The shell is part of his bones so a turtle without a shell would be dead. it is not like a hermit crab where when they don't have a shell they're thought of as naked. They cannot live without a shell and you cannot remove the shell unless the turtle is dead. The shell as I said before is part of his body and he can't switch from shell to shell.

Actually, it would be dead. Turtles tuck themselves into the shell to protect themselves from predators. To give your question a specific answer, would be homeless. Anyway, a turtle's shell is part of its anatomy. Without the shell it would not live.

Niether it would be dead, thet can not live without their shells. Turtles can not leave their shell they are attached to it.
