I usually don't like the names that come up on this board, but I LOVE Leah (spelling traditionally, not Lia). Beautiful name and it will fit throughout her life.

I shudder every time I think of the all future 80 and 90 year old Tiffanys, Britneys and the like.

I Love LIA!! It's clear on the pronounciation that way. Because sometimes LEAH can be pronounced Lay-a or Lee-a! But LIA is nice!

Leah seems more feminine and would be perfectly suited for a girl (it sounds so mature and lady-like)!

Lia, even though the pronunciation is the same and all, looks a little weirder to me. But it's still pretty so whichever one suits your cousin's baby better!

Leah is a pretty name, and if youre not too worried about actual meanings of names, then why not?

However in biblical / hebrew, the meaning of leah is not so rosy.

3 Leah Hebrew girl Tired. Cow. First wife of Jacob in the Old Testament. Leah became Jacob's first wife by trickery, as Jacob had intended to marry her younger and more beautiful sister, Rachel, who soon became his second and favoured wife.

Anyway...good luck....its a tough job naming a baby!

Regards
Dan
