Im doing doing a project about why people should quit smoking and I need the smoker population for 2006. Plz help me?

About 46 million people in the U.S.-or 23% of the population-currently smoke.

About a third of the male adult global population smokes.

I would say about 3/4 of the world during the year of 2006.
