ooooooohhhh. I've (believe it or not) actually done that. To get through the whole tootsie pop I had to lick it 586 times!! Me and my best friend each did it. She got 615. We were like using a tally mark for each time we licked it. I guess it depends on the person that is licking the tootsie pop. I love those commercials tho. Especially the one with the owl.

according to the tootsie pop commercial, it should take 3 but i realized my results were incorrect because i lost count and it was definetly more that 3
