just have an open mind really...my understanding of EI is its how we handle our own and other peoples emotions...maybe someone else will clarify

Emotional intelligence means understanding our own emotions and those of others, so that we are aware both of how we are feeling and how we come across, and how others are feeling.
So it is 2-fold: knowing ourselves and having empathy with others.
Good managers have high levels of emotional intelligence because they know how to motivate their staff by using EI.

EI is a slightly dated buzz concept for businesses.
Basically it is a bunch of guys charging her company to teach her what she probably already knows!
I wouldn't worry about it at all lol
