It seems to be spiralling downward ever since that New Caprica plotline. Do you agree?

I've answered a question similar to this before; apparently people start to lose interest mid-season. This is what I've noticed:

Think of it this way...BSG has a set pattern for its episode arcs. It goes fast, slow, fast, slow, etc. Season 1, for instance, started with the miniseries which covered...a day? The rest of season one was rather fast-paced but mostly setting things up for the finale...a BIG bang of a finale, I might add. Season 2 started out FAST. That was a couple weeks worth of stuff in half a season (the first two episodes were before Adama could even see Doc Cottle, what does that tell you?) then Pegasus showed up and 2.5 was slow, a lot of filler. All that built up to an equally fantastic season 2 finale. After that season 3 was fast-paced with the rescue and food shortage, all that.

Basically what I'm trying to say very inarticulately is that BSG needs time to set the story up. So things may be a bit down right now but, if things stay the way they have been, it's just luring you in for one heck of an ending.
