You really have very little to worry about. A regularly menstruating woman may have episodes of bleeding that are irregular. As a physician I would only suggest you watch how your next few cycles are. If you are concerned that you might be pregnant, check a urine pregnancy test.

you could be getting your period or you may be pregnant,if i were you i would do a hpt to find out.Sometimes in pregnancy you can spot around the time for your period but if it continues and is accompanied by cramps or gets brighter or more red, then it could be signs of an impending miscarriage, which your Dr should check your hcg levels by blood to make sure that everything was passed OK,sometimes a miscarriage requires a D&C,hope this helps and best wishes

Have you been late before?

Is there any other reason for late periods besides the obvious?

Is there something causing you stress?

Have you been ill?

Use a test kit

Wait a day or so to see if normality re-establishes itself. Then, if you are still unsure, see your doctor; unless it becomes a matter of complete urgency in the meantime.

This has happened to me. Brown means old blood. You need to take a pregnancy test, but I think you are probably fine.
