where is the oil drain plug on a 2005 pt cruiser?

Um, probably on the bottom of the oil pan, unless the oil jumps out through the dipstick hole.

the drain plug is on the rear of the oil pan next to the oil filter. if the oil filter is mounted off the oil pan with a adapter.

oil pan ,not unless it has inner filter that will drain the oil when you replace the filter
