Male to Male usb cable. Can be purchased at Best buy or similar retailers. Also you can connect them over a network establishing an ad hoc (when two computers connect) network. You can do this either with an RJ-45 (ethernet cable) or wirelessly. Just go into your Wireless Setup in order to configure it. (from Network Settings)

Connect both of their ethernet ports to a cheap hub via Cat5 cable. Then run the Network setup wizard.

if your networking and going wired get a cross-over rj45 cable

conect one end to laptop 1 and the other to laptop two

Do what the first guy said or buy a router with a few ports in it to plug multiple machines into.

You can use an ethernet wire, enable sharing on folders of your choice and make sure that you're both on the same network.
