Look for fuel that is rated "Top Tier" by the Big Four (BMW, GM, Honda, and Toyota.)
Also, use only fuel that is at the octane level recommended by your owner's manual. Fuel that is at too high an octane will only cost you more money, as you will see no performance gains (perhaps a very marginal one under certain conditions) and it will not clean your engine any better than fuel at the correct octane rating.

The best way to keep your car clean inside the motor is change oil frequently and the best gas to use is normally 91 as most engines are designed to run about that range. Gas brands differ in additives, also you can buy your own additives. I suggest you just run the 91 and once in a while get your fuel system cleaned professionally and you will be just fine.

Harold tried to clean the inside of his car once.......He found a new car a couple of days later.....
All fuels have detergents added to keep the system relativley clean, you can do yourself and your injectors a favor if you use an injector cleaner in it every 6 months. Run the tank to less than 1/4 put in a bottle of injector cleaner. drive about 20 or 30 miles then go add another bottle of injector cleaner then fill 'er up. This works well on keeping them clean and clicking

The one thing you will want to keep in mind is that the more expensive gasoline that no one wants to buy will be the worst for your vehicle. The higher octane (more expensive) gas that is at the station will be older because it dont get used as fast as the cheaper gas does so it goes bad at the station. This is called heavy gas. It causes more driveability issues than anything else that I have seen. when it is heavy it causes a lot more carbon deposits and will not burn correctly raising your emmissions coming out the tail pipe. hope this helps.

Texaco with Techron. You can buy 12 AND 20 oz. bottles of this Techron Fuel Injector Cleaner in any auto parts store to dump in your gas tank. It's the best I've found. Seafoam is a close second.

Hard to say. It seems that they all come from the same place. I would think that most gas now carries some alcohol in them, which will help clean the injectors and remove water in the tank.
If you are worried about it, you can add a can of aftermarket fuel cleaner to help. Other than that, you'll probably be fine.

I use a vacuum cleaner to clean the inside of the car, but pretty much any modern fuel will clean the engine's fuel system. Regardless who sells it, the gas all comes from the same refineries.

Use to work for a refinery. check your manual for recommended octane rating and use it. As for brands, don't pay extra for additives, most gas is pretty generic (due to Fed regs) and cleans the engine the same.
