Isn't that why they punish those who speak up against other race issues because deep down they feel like they've been exposed by other Whites?

In some cases, yes. In other cases, the "white" person may be genuinely offended.

I think racism pervades everything and everyone in America. Our country has not adequately addressed the history and legacy of racial oppression. The descendants of Black people who were enslaved by whites never got their "Forty acres and a mule." White people --whether their ancestors held slaves or not-- benefit economically by the generations of racial privilege that have accumulated over time. Think about it, who gets preferential treatment when it comes to jobs and housing? Who can afford (and for how many generations) to send their kids to private or elite public schools? People don't want to talk about "race" because racism is America's open wound.

I grew up in a predominately black area (I'm white). I know that MOST blacks where I'm from relished in living down to the stereotypes. If a black person didn't conform to the ghetto standards they were ridiculed and tormented by their peers.
While there is some truth in stereotypes..we as a society must be open-minded.
It isn't EVERY black person.

Get REAL!!! Bigots & buffoons, their color doesn't matter, are not deterred or afraid to speak their less then civilized minds about things grand and small. Quite often they find an equally stupid audience receptive to their crap.
