This is a simple conversion of units:

We know that there are 25.4 mm per inch[1]. Therefore, there must be 25.4 mmHg per inHg.

Pressure(mmHg) = 25.4 * Pressure(inHg)
Pressure(mmHg) = 25.4 * 29.4
Pressure(mmHg) = 746.76

Therefore, the barometric pressure is 746.76 mmHg.

29.4 in x (1 m / 39.4 in) = 0.746 m

0.746 m x (1000 mm / 1 m) = 746 mm
