I'd say that you shouldn't get her a gift right away. Try to talk to her. Opening a discussion like "After all that happened last time, I'm not exactly sure where we stand right now in terms of our friendship. I'd like to know what you're thinking." Then go from there. If she actually engages in the conversation, you can judge whether or not she's using you. If she doesn't, then, although you might not be better off, you'll know YOU tried and that's enough. There are probably pressures in her life that you don't know about and that she's not comfortable talking with you about.
If she dumps you after her birthday and complains it's because you didn't get her a gift, you can tell her that she's changed so much since you last spoke with her in any depth that you didn't know what to get her.

So sorry to hear that.
Friends do not stop talking to each other without an explanation. An acceptable situation is when people move far away from each other and is hard to keep in contact, then is kind of OK. She told you "to go away and stay there?" That is way too rude to be overlooked. In my opinion you can talk to her like any other acquaintance but be mindful of her mood swings
About the birthday; a card should be enough. You will know who your true friends are ten years from now.

yes it does sound like she is using you it could be that the friends that she dumped you for don't want to hang out with her anymore I wouldn't buy her anything for her birthday because if you do then she might be nice until her birthday is over then just dump you again if she is still being nice and talking to you after her birthday is gone and past then maybe you could get her a littke somthing as a belated birthday present but I would not do it before hand I am sorry you are being treated this way . I hope this helps .

if u think that she is useing u then just talk to her! If that don't work and she gets mad then thats her fault. She shouldn't use u like that. And if she is then that is not a true friend.I have learned this past week that U can live without some friends and its ok .I use to think that if I ever lost my friend taylor that it would be horrible but she got mad at me and now were not friends but I havve tried everything. If really feel like that then why r u still her friend? I bet u have plenty other friends and u know that they would never treat u like that >I say just for get her and find a true friend

she sounds so fickle and you sound like a sweet girl- you don't deserve to be treated like that. I might give her a card with a messsage about what a real friend is -included in it. and that is all she deserves. You've been nice enough just to talk to her agian. I probably would have never struck back up a chat with this chic. Yeah she sounds like a user or a fair weather freind. They are a dime a dozen,. Honey if you just gave her the time of day that's more than she deserves. Stay Sweet like you sound and you'll always have friends. but you don't need ones like her.

just get her a nice card. you will soon find out the spirit on some one, since you were not friends for a while, you will see what kind of new friends she has. See if they are anything like you and how she responds to you at her party. She could be using you for numbers at her party. to seem popular. Bring up the initial issue before then, if she is really wanting to be your friend again, she will gladly explain, apologize and sooth all questions. if not, dont bother with her, she's not true friend material.

Go ahead and be the better person, Befriend her. If she ask you to her B- party get a gift. If she doesn't keep being friendly it's her loss but you have been thetrue friend. Don't side with her over your other friends, who have treated you good. The More The Merrier

You could try buying a gift - just in case. Hold on to that gift until the day, like maybe late into the night. If she turns to her same old self again then perhaps you can give that gift to someone else. If she's okay with the fact that you didn't give her a gift, then surprise her. And if that happens, you've got your friend back...

If she told you that she doesn't like you anymore then take that as the sign that she doesn't want to be friends with you anymore. Which you have by finding new and better friends.
So don't get her a gift and if she says anything about it then quote her exact words back.
If she is still talks to you after her birthday then perhaps she really wants to be friends.
My advice. Don't waste your money on someone who told you they didn't like you anymore. Use it on people you really care about.

I think you should do the samething to her just be like I do not like you no more and hang up in her face on tha phone. I think she is using you and you seem like a nice trusted friend and fun to hang around with and you do not need that trick. I think you can find others best friends thank you from terry
PS get her a candy bar for her B-day no just playing
