I have a 4yr old, a 2yr old, & 3 1/2 mnth twins. I had my tubes tied, but I've heard there's a slight chance of pg occuring again. What are the risks of it being a tubal pg? Call me crazy, but my husband & I actually tossed the idea back & forth about getting 'fixed', but
decided four is enough.(especially when they start coming in pairs!) I think i'ts the idea of ending my precious, God given fertility. (It sounds strange, I know.) Any other mothers who went
through it & still wasn't sure about their decision? I know there are
several questions in this one post, but I'd lide to hear some other
experiences ya'll have had. Thanks!

My doctor tells me that there is almost no chance of getting pg after having tubes tied. I did it after my second child, but part of my reason was that I was 35 years old when she was born. Had I been younger, we would have probably had one more. I agree, four is PLENTY. I think if you have TOO many children, it just stretches your attention and time with each child too thin. (just my opinion) plus, it makes it harder to afford to give all of them a good college education. Think and pray on it. You will come to the right decision for you. Good luck and God bless your family.

It's very rare, but it does happen. My co-worker got pregnant with another set of twins, 3 years after having her tubes tied.

that's uncommon, yet there are slender opportunities. Unfortunetely, you have a extra possibly danger of having an eptopic being pregnant with tied tubes, i think of. which may be deadly, so do no longer wait, and discover out ASAP what's occurring on your physique! otherwise, in the journey that your tubes grew back, you have a healthful toddler :) i do no longer blame you approximately no longer desirous to abort...!!

Before my tubal, the doc told me the failure rate was 1 in 1000 (that was just 3 months ago), so its definitely considered permanent sterilization. I definitely knew that no matter what happened, I was done having children. If you're not completely sure then you shouldn't do it, get an IUD.

I can tell you that the failure rate of tubal ligations are:

13 failures/1000 procedures = 1.3% Failure rate.

Women who are younger at the time of tubal ligation have a higher failure rate.
