This morning I was in a rush in the car and I popped my birth control pill out the packet and it slipped out my hand and fell..

I've looked everywhere in the car, I even got my dad to help look (he usually finds the things I misplace.) and it's no where to be found.. i looked in my top to see if had fell down my shirt and it didn't.

What do I do?! I don't want to skip a pill for today..

you could either take tomorrows pill and be really confused for the rest of the month or just not take it and put up with it

Are you on monophasic pills? If all your pills are the same color then take the last active pill in the packet before the placebos. Then when you catch up to that day, take a sugar pill for the day then start a new packet of active pills the next day without having a period. You might get some spotting because you stopped for a day, but that's okay. Or if you have a missed any in the past and remembered to keep them, then you can have one of those for today.

Otherwise, just follow the instructions for a missed pill.

Assuming you take a type that has one type of pill all week long, take the pill from the LAST day of your pack. In the event the doctor can't help, you'll get your period one day earlier, but you'll be covered.

If not, then you'll have to do a little hokey-pokey thing with the last pill for that week (as in Ortho Tri-Cyclen, etc) till you can get it replaced.

In the mean time, contact your doctor and see if you can get a sample kit to replace that last pill. Keep the extra pack handy for just such mistakes in the future.

For now just take the next one. Then call your dr and tell them your problem. They may have a solution for you. Maybe a free sample pack to supplement? They may even tell you it's no big deal to miss one pill?
