In Pirates of the Caribbean; Dead Mans Chest Caption does Jack die or does he stay alive because he has the curse?

He becomes "undead" at some points because of the curse, but not officially dead. i encourage you to watch the movie though, it's really good and entertaining!

he doesn't have the curse but he stays alive because in the third movie the find jacks dad (Keith Richards from the rolling stones) and he helps them find jack

He went to Davy Jones locker and will get rescued by Will, Elizabeth, Tia Dalma, Barbossa, and the others!

Well, obviously he's not dead. They're going to rescue him in the next installment.
Basically, he's always so drunk that no animal on earth could actually kill / digest him.
