Truman "lived" in Independence, MO in a beautiful turn of the century Victorian. You can tour his house and grounds (and I believe his library) for a small fee. Perhaps they have a website, but I would look in to the Missouri Tourism web site and look for a link first.

Truman was born in Lamar, Missouri, in 1884. He grew up in Independence, and for 12 years prospered as a Missouri farmer.

He lived in Independence Missouri and was a senator form the state of Missouri when he was elected Vice-President.
