dis da dilemma.my mother needs help with the bills.i dont have a father.basically all three of my brothers help her including me pay for the bills. She working two jobs also. i remember she ask for my whole check.not my brothers but me for my whole check.i gave her a portion but not the whole. And now she asked me a large amount that would hinder me from paying my bills becuz I got a sprint bill for $112, and credit card billl for $565.00, gym member ship bill for $101 and today is my birthday so I wanted to I wanted to get my hair done. I told mother," I wanted to get my hair done and I got bills to pay for." She said disregardingly and unconcern, "Thats what I need." I'm thinking to my self, how selfish she is. I know she need help but I got all these bills to pay for,And I do help her. I still dont got a car, and she is the MAIN one telling me to save my money. But as you know the saved person I am, I gave it to her. Am I wrong for feeling the way I do?

NO, you're not wrong.
It's NOT fair that she asked for your whole check, but she only asked for portions of your brother's check. VERY UNFAIR. The money your mother needs should be split equally between the 4 of you.

Do NOT give your mother so much money in the future.... otherwise, she will ALWAYS go to you first. It's better that you insist; give only some, so that she has to ask for the rest from your brothers. This is the ONLY way she & her brothers will be fair.

You should also cut down on your spending if possible - but not to give to your mother, but to save for your Self.

Best of luck to you -

Well...let's see...if you're living at home, you mother needs help with the bills etc...why are you charging so much on your credit card and how in the heck is your sprint bill $112 (mine is approximately $38 every month)??? If you 'still don't got a car' (lovely grammar) why are you spending so much on unnecessary crap??? Your mother is definitely not the only one being selfish in this picture.

I have no idea how old you are, but your mom shouldn't be asking you for money. My mom raised three kids on her own (and she wasn't making much money) and she never asked me for a dime. You need to take care of your stuff first, then help out the family. (And get out of there as fast as you can)

No you're not wrong. You're very generous. But try to remember to take care of your own bills first.

Man, you gotta get outta there and move in on your own somewhere. Get away from where your mama can abuse your relationship like she is. She should be taking care of you, and if she can't do that she should at least be taking care of her own self.
