for the Big dance?
Florida hit a bad losing streak, losing 3 of 4 to some teams they should have cleaned the floor with. UCLA has had some questionable losses, but none as bad as Florida. UNC is getting hot in the last part of the year. Who else do you think will make a #1 seed for the big dance?

For those Wisconsin Haters, stuff it. Wisconsin is a lock, and most of the people in the know agree with that, including almost all of the ESPN staff.

BTW, the new polls have WI #3. For those of you arguing they do not deserve a #1 seed. Its damn hard to NOT give the seeds to the top 4 teams, especially when the both polls agree on the top 4.

OSU, Wisconsin, UCLA, Kansas

Florida is the only other team in the mix, in my opinion.

Keep in mind that the polls are meaningless.

UCLA, and UNC look pretty good for #1 seeds given their RPIs, number of wins over top 50 RPI teams, and strengths of schedule.

Ohio State probably gets the third spot assuming no major catastrophe in the Big Ten tournament.

That leaves the last one open for grabs.

The potential candidates are Wisconsin, Kansas, Memphis, Florida, Texas A&M, and possibly Georgetown.

For Wisconsin to get the last spot, they would have to win the Big Ten tournament, or every other team would have to lose early in their conference tournaments, because the selection committee will be looking at only their body of work after the Butch injury.

Kansas has a chance if they make it to the Big XII final.

Memphis simply comes from too weak of a conference to have a legitimate claim.

Even though Florida has been overrated all year, the selection committee loves the SEC and will likely give them the nod if they win the SEC tournament. (watch out for MSU) (Also, keep in mind that Kansas beat Florida earlier on a neutral court, so if both teams win their respective tournaments, this could be the tie breaker)

Texas A&M would have to be extremely lucky to grab the spot. (everybody would have to lose, and they would have to play and beat Texas and Kansas in the Big XII tournament)

Georgetown is extremely unlikely, but they would have a case if they win the Big East tournament. And keep in mind the selection committee is in love with the Big East too.

Because Ohio State and Wisconsin cannot both enter the NCAA tournament without a loss, and because of the Butch injury, Wisconsin is likely a 2 seed with Kansas and Florida battling for the 1 spot.

UCLA should still be up there. I think maybe if Kansas wins the Big 12 tourney convincingly, they might take the other spot. Otherwise, probably UNC, then Florida are the top contenders in that order. Remember, last year not one of the #1 seeds went to the Final Four, so it is not always a predictor of who is going to win it all.

I'm not sure Wisconsin is gonna be able to pull off a one seed. If they win the Big Ten Tournament, then yes, they'll get it. But they won't. Ohio St. will tear them apart without Brian Butch down low.

To answer your question, if Wisconsin and Ohio St. pull off the one seeds, I got Kansas and UCLA as the other two. The Jayhawks are unbeatable when they play their best, and they've been doing that for two months now. UCLA is almost guaranteed to win their conference tournament, as long as they can watch out for Wash. St. and USC on the way.

Ohio State, Florida, UCLA, Kansas

UNC deserves a top spot, but playing in the best conference in the nation will hurt your record. Wisconsin doesn't deserve a #1 seed, but they might get one if they win the Big Ten tournament. Ohio State is the weakest #1 seed, but their record helps.

I think the number one seeds will be Ohio State, Ucla, the winner of the big 12 tourn. if its KU or A&M, and either Carolina or Florida or Wisconsin depending on conference tournament. If none show enough, Memphis could sneak in.
I predict the number one seeds will be Ohio State, UCLA, Kansas, and Florida.
