I LOVE libraries!

I love any and all kinds of books.

I like to go and wander around libraries in whatever city I am in. Sometimes you can learn a lot about that city by what's on display at the library.

I am a new citizen of Florence, SC and they have an awesome library. Yes, they have a web site where I can renew books without going back to the library, which I think is great. I moved here from the suburbs in VA and I miss the Washington Post, so I go by once a week and read the 2 Washington Posts my library gets every week. My favorite books are thrillers and mysteries. In spite of the greatness of the computer, may the written word always exist.

I always loved to read since I was 4 or 5 years old. When I was 10 years old, lived in NYC, across from my street there was a gothic building. Thought it was a temple. But being an adventurer I had to check out that building.

I was shocked, I thought I had been going to Heaven. So many books and love the smell of those old books. After that, every day, went I left school I would run to the Blooming library. I was not interested going out for games with friends; books were my best friends. I read about different things since I started from A to Z about novels, history, crafts and arts, the science, etc.

I think my favorite thing about libraries is the smell of old books - it's comforting yet mysterious....who was there before? Who else read the book in my hand - did they like it? Did it change their life?
I guess my favorites are life-like fiction, things that could happen but aren't true stories. All sorts of books are amazing tho - a good mystery can suck you in to the point where you're at the grocery store going "he did it! the guy in blue!" - a good sci-fi or history novel can paint a picture in your head of worlds never seen or never existing - they give you a starting point to let your imagination run rampant!
I prefer small town libraries - although the selection isn't as huge, the ones there are like old friends, and you can order anything you want!
But, used book stores are by far the best place to spend a day, especially a rainy day, in a store where you can curl up in an antique chair with a cup of coffee and a worn paperback.....

I live in Minnesota, and I go to the library all the time. It is fun. What kind of books do I like? I love Harry Potter, and I'm reading all the books about the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants now. I may want to read all the Princess Diaries books. That's all for young adults. If you're an adult looking for book suggestions, check out author Jodi Picoult. She's awesome. My other favorites are Nicholas Sparks, and Mary Higgins Clarks. Another great book is The Stand by Stephen King. I'd read the longer unedited version. It's not really a horror story like so many of his other books. I may go back and reread that one again sometime. I almost always get my books from the library, since I can't afford to buy all my books.

Yes, I love libraries, bibliophile that I am. Incidentally, my library is also the Columbus Library, only it's in Georgia. It was just built last year and it is so awesome. I also like all sorts of books, but I'm less fond of horror and chick lit.

I really do like libraries! I just like seeing all these books... It shows me how much stories there are and how much knowledge is wanted to be shared in all these books!

I like all books. At the moment my favourite book is "A place called here" by Cecelia Ahern. Fairytales are my favourite kind of stories.
But I also like books that teach you something. At the moment I am reading the German book: "Warum das Leben schneller vergeht wenn man älter wird" by Douwe Draaisma. It means something like "Why life goes faster when you grow older...." And it teaches about forgetting and remembering and stuff. It is very interesting!
Sometimes I also like reading poems. But I guess my favourite books are fairytales (not the ones for little kids like "Cinderella". More like the stuff Cecelia A. is writing.) and lovestories. Because they let the world seem so easy and they distract you from the worlds problems.

i really dont like libraries, theyre wayyyy too quiet for me to concentrate in. when i read i need background noise, and if not i go insane. i like classic books like to kill a mockingbird and of mice and men. another amazing book is a tree grows in brooklyn. once you start reading you cant stop. i guess i like books that take place during the post depression.
