Call jewelry stores in your area - they should be able to give you a proper quote for your needs.

I have had engraving cost $0.15 per letter - I have had engraving cost $1.25 per letter... I have even had entire metal charms engraved with name, address, date and time for a flat $5.00... but it always depended on the jeweler, whether or not the item was purchased in their store - or if I was bringing in an outside purchase to be engraved.

Grab you local yellow pages, and ask for quotes.
