Yeah, I know they talk about you when you leave, because I used to be a receptionist in a Dr's office and all the nurses talked about all the patients all the time!! (even some Dr's did it too)They would laugh and talk about the patient that just left to me and to other nurses and Dr's. So when I go to the Dr, I figure the nurses and Dr's do the same everywhere! I imagine the nurses and Dr's go home and maybe tell their spouse about their day and talk about a patient or two who was particularly "rememberable" as far as physical aspects. They are human too, you know!!

Was the first couple of times I started having exams, but not now. It's just a part of being a woman and keeping yourself healthy. But I always keep the bikini area shaved and well trimmed.
Staring, well, they have to. But they probably seen so many vaginas, it doesn't matter what they look like any more.

I`m sure they see worst!! A hairy vagina is the last thing they are concerned about. I have heard gynocologist comment about "bald" vaginas though. Mine asked me if I ever got really itchy...LOL, it was a women OBGYN. But as a rule they have seen prolapsed vaginas( where your vagina has fallen), vaginal warts, yeast infections, etc.I don`t think a little pubic hair concerns them.

1. i'm impressed the doctor "talked" off your clothes.
2. the doctor shouldn't be staring at "you" vagina

Yes but why would you go to the doctors or a gynacologist appointment with a hairy vagina in the first place? If it happens unexpected just say you are on ur period!!!!!

I shave my genital area, so I'm more embarassed with the LACK of hair.

Honestly though, after I had my kid I realized that my ob/gyn has seen every vagina known to man. I shouldn't be THAT embarassed!

personaly I am in favor of vaginas hairy or not, we need more of them. Perhaps you should streak down your street to get over your fears. If your embarrassed give yourself a trim, braid it in dreadlocks. Us guys need a little more creativity when it comes to vaginas. Get it colored with highlights, put sparkles in it...your gyn probably won't even notice.

I don't like it but I guess as you get older you get used to it. I have also had a type of early cancer so I was having it examined very regularly.
