Probably not in the same sense as an animal, what with not having proper nervous systems. But there have been experiments that used technology similar to an ekg wich show that the electrical feild generated by plants changes when they are damaged. So you could say that plants have some version of pain.

Actually, quite a few studies have been done on that subject. Plants seem to respond badly to things that would put them in "pain". They also seem to thrive when you speak nicely to them and when you sing to them. There is an episode of "Mythbusters" on Discovery channel you should check out about that.

No, they don't. Plants don't have a central nervous system or anything close to it, therefore, plants don't feel pain.

I seriously doubt that plants feel pain. I dont think they have nerve endings.

how about if you try going without food or water and then getting so tired of holding yourself up that you start to wither away. is that pain?
