I bought an apple ipod 30 gb at walmart two months ago. When I first bought the ipod I charged the battery for four hours. Everytime I play the ipod the battery usually last for about 5 hours and goes red and I have to recharge. Is this normal? Should I set something on my ipod so the battert will last longer?
Is that how long the battery usually last 5 hours? I know on the ipod site it says 8 hours and up but is ia a brand new ipod. Please let me know how long your ipod battery last before you have to recharge it? My ipod is 2 months old.

So you got it at Wallfahrts! Did they tell you to charge the battery at least 15 hours before the first use? Bet not. Many rechargeable batteries have "memories" so if you don't charge them for at least 15 hours, better yet 24, they won't hold a full potential charge nearly as long as they are capable. You might have gotten 8 hours between charges if you had. With only 4 hours "initial Charge", 3 to 5 hours discharge time with that unit is the best you'll ever get especially with constant use.

relies upon what style of ipod you have. the recent ones like the nano and classic flow 24-36 hours, yet older ones like movies and 4th era and previous nanos decide for 2-12 hours. previous nanos have poor battery existence, so i'm hoping you do not have a form of!
