do u know of this set up? the engine is 4.3 in a zr2 chevy blazer.

Yes they are, I would consider moving to 4.10 or 4.56 depending on how much low-end torque you want. If it's going to be used on the road then use the 4.10, strictly off-road use the 4.56's

No you want a lower gear ratio. My stock tire and wheel size 4 wheel driver S-10 with the 262 cu in. (4.8 motor) has a 3.90 rear end and I still get 25 on trips. You'd better head straight to 4.11's with your big tires.

3.73 should be fine for your 4.3L. My dad is running 4.11s in his Chevy, and 3.73s will just get you better gas mileage and a little slower takeoff. Oh and his is a 4.8L (292cid) inline six

Its gonna tear up but have fun while it lasts i figure the front wheel drive gears to go first
