I have a younger sister. She makes myspace accounts and tries to hide it from our dad and her mom. I just found her knew one and read her comments from her friends. Her friend said that her throat hurt and then my sister responded, "Yeah, my throat hurts bad, I'm just glad I don't have HW!!!"

Does anyone know what HW means?

The messages I saw were on her profile for everyone to see. Also, the reason I am worried is that she is 14 years old and has been getting in a lot of trouble lately with the boys she is dating and her attitude. The other reason I was a little worried is because she and her friend were just talking about their boyfriends being sick too . . . I could just be being a paranoid big-sister.

Homework is the only thing I can think of. Maybe it's not related to the throat hurting.

stands for homework.
why doesn't she stick to one myspace account? The whole point is social networking. If you delete one account, you have to start the networking all over again.

I think she's referring to Herpetiformis Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia. Nasty condition, but she should get tested. May cause a sore throat in the early stages.
