I've been a musician with a regular gig for most of my life. When a new company took over our workplace they changed us from 8pm to midnight to 6pm-10pm! That was difficult to get used to, but we did, after many months.

Now I just work 2am--10am at a newspaper job, with music gigs happening when ever they do. It was not hard to get used to the first few hours, but after almost 15 years on this routine, I am still not used to the early morning hours 6am--noon.

I have worked night shift (7 pm to 7 am) for over 20 years. It does eventually take a toll on your health. It just isn't natural for your body to do this for very long. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have done it.
