It is good to question someone's expertise when they try to cover areas outside the one they are stated to be experts on.
Hmmm. Has your religion teacher had any babies?
I have always had horrible cramps during my periods. That said, nothing in life that I've ever experienced was as uncomfortable as end-stage labor contractions. I especially remember the ones accompanying the baby ex utero, all eight pounds six ounces of her, as excruciating.
Every woman's experience, with each baby, tends to be different.

Apparently your religion teacher has never had a baby. Take that worse period cramp and magnify it by about 100...that should give you a better idea about what a contraction feels like

Well that may have been how it was for your religion teacher, but as for me and as for most women I would take your worst period cramp and times that by a hundred. That should give you an idea of how it would feel.

Contractions during early labor don't hurt to bad but once you've hit active labor the pain will be intense and excruciating!!!! Trust me I have survived one labor and are about to take that journey again in 19 weeks!!!! so your teacher is full of Bologna!!!!

Maybe that was her experience, but not for most women I know. My contractions during labor were hellish and long lasting and frequent. But once it's over, it's over. It was worth every second of pain - I have a great kid!!

Its not always the same for everybody.....and some people have a different tolerence for pain. Mine, however, were way worse than any menstral cramps.....have you ever had menstral that took your breath away or made you brace yourself??

yeah right- if that was the case people would just take Tylenol instead of epidurals. A huge needle in the back ain't no picnic but it sure beats labor!
