It is a 1995 Ford Taurus and i went over a pothole and the right rear wheel was making a noise. They told me on this wheel I would need a bushings kit and a sway bar bushings .

Interesting a 1995 and a pothole took out the bushings. They must have been real bad to begin with. You might want to get a second opinion to save some hassle. According to my estimator program the parts themselves should run $33.81 and it calls for 1.5 hours of labor at whatever the shop rate is. This repair is rather simple and maybe you know someone who could do it for you.

I just did that to a 95 Sable, which is pretty much the same car. It took about two hours and $40 worth of bushings. Close to $200 for an honest shop. Less maybe, if they're better at it than I am.

I'm sure that the people that told you what repairs are needed also told you the cost!
