Having to feel they need to look, talk, walk, a certain way. I think society puts too much pressure on teens today. Also, drugs play a large role in this too.

How to deal with the overload of cra*p that is constantly being thrown at them... there are so many issues that it is not possable to cite them all... but one of the biggest, IMO, is that teens today are not allowed to be what teens should be... they are constantly bombarded by things that try to make them into adults when they are not... they are litteraly forced at times into adult situations when they should be kept out of that. Just because something can be done dose not make it right for every one... there is far tooooo much pressure on teens to "do their own thing" when most all of them do not really know what their own thing is.... so too many of them just go along with what the media and tv and hollywood telll them is their own thing..... one of the biggest demons in brainwashing teens early on is the Disney Group.... all of the so-called teen stuff they promote is in fact anti adult and negative to true mature growth...

I beileve a great number of adolescents are plagued by self identy themes. lack of self assurance and a pretend sense of entitlement ! we've went from attempting to make issues better for our little ones to swing thus faraway from reality that they now no longer have the limitations that cause them to sense possibility-free even as they study a thanks to be to blame adults .i think they're scared extra now then ever earlier and are feeling the rigidity to belong and fall into the traps of each little thing you've listed above.

The emphasis to be thin and "beautiful". Girls 12 and 13 should not be dieting and girls 8 years old should not be wearing make up and they are. They are growing up too fast and not having time to be a child....

being force fed the schools crap to make a living, and to top it off all the rules. No democracy, and no freedom, only orders. They going to the school means they should make their own orders. Oh but its ok for the school to have military training ready'ing them up for war.

the fact that the choices you make when you're at that age decide your entire life... that teens are expected to know exactly who they are and who they want to be at a very young age.
