I am a journalism student on the verge of graduation, any advice for finding a job?

I plan on going into the field of producing. I already have an internship under my belt.

there are lots of journalism jobs.
I too have a journalism degree and was offered a reporting job 6 months before I even graduated.
When you go looking for a job it's all about contacts. Get someone from where you did your internship to write you a letter of recommendation and then be shameless.
Ask everyone you know if the biz for an in...apply for everything even if it's out of your league..and the best advice I can give.
Be prepared to work for free just to get your foot in the door.

Unless you have some kind of a connection, like a father who is a judge or senator, I suggest you go back to College and get a degree in something that yields a JOB. These universities know full well they graduate 500% too many jounalism majors as there are jobs. Same is true of lawyers. Yet,. they still take your money and BS you onward.

I am serious about this go back and get a degree in an area that is not overloaded with graduates.

Be willing to accept a job in a small town someplace you're never heard of. Put in your time and do the best work possible. Win some awards. Then move to a slightly larger town. Repeat and keep repeating until you get someplace where you're happy.
