Yep it is definetly 'darted.
As for the person who said take the out, out. I personally wouldn't agree with that.
Consider the two sentences.
'She darted without any warning'
or
'She darted out, without any warning'
The first implies that she could just be running away whereas the second implies a running out in front of something (perhaps a car)
But anyway, darted is correct.

I know just use " shot out " without any warning. Sorry, just trying the lazy way as usual. I believe darted out is correct, but who cares nowadays - grammar doesn't count anymore innit!!
