is the sims 2 glamour life stuff a game just to update new items to or is it just like the other Sims 2 games?

i dont know because my brother says it is just a game to download objects to.Can you play like it is your own life for example you play the sims 2 pets and you get to control the sims.

Glamour Life Stuff just gives you some glamourous accessories for your Sims. There are just more clothes for your Sims & more items for them to decorate their homes with.

It's not a full expansion pack like Pets or Seasons. See here for more details.
