Not so much big name concerts as visiting a local venue to check out a local band - originals or covers - and dance or just listen and hang out.

If you do, how often and what about it appeals to you?

If you don't, why not? Is there a specific reason or are you just not interested? Or maybe just don't get around to it?

Yes, I do. And it's mostly local acts. Live music is best. I try to go at least every 3 months.

I love live music, even of genres I may not even like; for instance, I am not a classical music fan, but I love the symphony. There is something to be said for hearing great music performed in front of you.

On the other hand, many bands just all out suck live. Their sound cannot live up to the fabricated quality of the CD. Also, recordings of live performances are usually not very good, with few exceptions.

i'm from warsaw indiana and live music is huge, there are about 4 bars in our city that do open mic and turnout is huge, i go every week, i'm also one of the musicians that play but i definately go to hear other people, there's also a huge turn out for local bands

it's very inspiring to go and listen to the other people and also to have people applaud you on the stage

nothing feels better than getting up on stage and playing a song and seeing people getiing into it and dancing
