Clemens might help in August heading into championship time. But he may not play and until then he is holding a postion on your bench that you may need. He is not on a roster so won't be eligible for DL and will be eating that spot for over half a year. You may not have a shot at the top spot if you hold on to him.
Even when he comes back, who says he will be that productive. Maybe 12 to 14 starts and 6 or 7 wins. Or you could use the spot to get 17 or 18 SV's in the mean time.
Benitez is also hurt and may not start the season as the closer. But SF has done little to find anyone to take the position from him and when he is ready the job is his.

If in need of saves I would go with the trade. Even if Benitiz doesn't work out, there are still options at closer that may pop up and you could use the Benitez spot to get the closer of the moment.

Clemens gives you upside because if he plays he'll be the best pitcher in baseball. Benitez is a middle of the road closer at best.

Unless you desperately need a closer I say hold out for Clemens's return. You'll be happy you did.

Wow thats a tough one. I wouldnt get rid of clemens yet because if he stays, hes worth so much more than benitez. Plus there are tons of better closers than benitez. But Roger may not even play and you could get value for him. I wouldnt do it unless you find someone better to trade for

thats tough.....clemens might not even pitch this year, but I would go with Clemens, Benitez is old (of course Clemens is as well, but we know he can produce) and probably not going to be that effective......is he even definately going to be closing for anyone this year?
