I think that the real answer to this question is that hackers and virus writers SPECIFICALLY TARGET Microsoft software.
Why? Well - the majority of businesses and individuals worldwide use MS Operating Systems, so viruses have more impact on MS PCs. Plus many hackers and virus writers don't like Microsoft's policies, or Bill Gates either.

That is very interesting. Microsoft can't change everything now, and all the virus writers and hackers all know the M.S. system and codes etc.
They don't know how to do bad things to macs, so I am thinking of getting one next time. A lot safer for the net!

It's not that MAC OS is immune to malware, it's that virus writer find it either easier or more satisfying to attack MS operating systems, either because it is more widely used or out of a grudge for MS.
