Now that Bertuzzi is traded to the Redwings, do you think he'll stop playing dirty? Or will he just be a burden to the Redwings?

I dont really think he played dirty in the first place. I mean, there was the one incident that we all know and love to talk about, but his overall career hasnt been full of cheap shots. Theres a lot of guys that play dirtier than him, they just havent broke anyones necks. I would expect his average PIM's to drop though because of Detroits system. Also, Bertuzzi is happy to come to Detroit. Once he gets a chance to stick up for Hank or Pavel after someone lays on a bad hit, the fans are really going to start liking him. Playing for Detroit is a great opportunity for him and I wouldnt expect him to do anything to mess that up.

First, Screw you Moore apologist!

It was an accident, get over it. Bertuzzi does not and never had anything to clean up. He plays a hard nosed, punch you in the face style. All players take stupid penalties, Bertuzzi tends to take a few more but that's his game.

People forget that Todd Bertuzzi, despite being a big guy is a skill player. The Moore incident will hang over his head forever, and understandably so. But I don't think Detroit fans have anything to worry about with him except for his back problems.

Bertuzzi isn't a dirty player. He let his emotions get the better of him and made one HORRIBLE decision. He had no intent to injure Moore, he was just stupid and paid the price. He's a tough, gritty, CLEAN player I think. Sure, he's a bit of a grizzly bear in front of the camera, but I think the Steve Moore press conference shows it's a bit of a facade and there is a genuine decent man in there somewhere. It was one stupid mistake by a guy who hasn't done anything dirty since, and I can guarantee you with the Moore thing hanging over his head he wont.

I will agree that he did overachieve in Vancouver thanks to Naslund, but I think he'll be a good fit in Detroit. He isn't the go to guy, and can just quietly do his thing.

The guy wasn't a dirty hockey player, he did one dirty play that turned out to be absoloutely awful. The guy was an underachiever as a hockey player until he went to Vancouver, where he was teamed with a great player who helped him out. He has potential to be a big force on a team like the redwings.

Bertuzzi sucks, he played in 8 games this year. Detroit is a much better team without him, he's such a loser.

I hope he does. I am a huge Redwing fan so he better not mess up.

I think he's already cleaned up his act a little. Being a life long Wings fan, it's going to be hard to root on a guy who attacks people from behind. That's p*$$y $hit. Hopefully he's a renter.

Like others said it was one dirty act. I don't think he intended nor intends to in the future break anyone's neck. Give him a break its an unfortunate situation.
