A lot can be researched on-line. Look up CHAPTER 383 (LANDLORD AND TENANT) of Kentucky state law - this should give you most of the applicable statutes. Good luck.

Call the nearest university that has Commuter students, and get a tenants' rights handbook. This will give you the tenant perspective, which will honestly help you the most, since you'lll know what you can and cannot do, plus, you could probably find a local property management co. and get info from them.

The rules differ from place to place. Look up the landlord tennants act for your particular state or province. Do a search on google, it should be posted on the internet somewhere.

The law in California is pretty simple- land lords have little to no rights, and the renters have you by the balls.
My suggestion is- talk to a lawyer that specializes in land law.

Talk to your local attorney, they can usually get you to the right papers better than you could by yourself.
