I have been threatened a few times by my stepdad. My real dad never gets along with me. And now me and my mom don't get along so I was going to buy a place with my friend.

Most apartment landlors prefer you to be the age of 18, if you aren't they may want a parent or legal guardian's signature. I would honestly wait until you turn 18. As young as you are, you may feel you're "ready" but just may not be. I moved out when I turned 22 and I learned A LOT my first year, like what I was willing to put up with and not, how to sink or swim, and what kind of living environment you want to live in ;those types of things.

Keep in mind it's not all fun and games out there. I have a 17 yo. who's trying to spread his wings, but is finding it hard to make the bills and min. wage come together. All of my kids think I'm a good dad, which I try to be, tell em straight, no because I said so stuff.
I'm full of 2 things, sh&t and advise, and all my children keep coming back for seconds on the advise, which I think is cool.
What I would suggest to you is to stay in school for the next ? yr.?
Get into a college, and you'll be out on your own yet continuing your education which will make you more money, which will guarntee your never having to move back in with mom and dad.

Hope this helps, email me if ya need

Your parents are responsible for your activities until you are a legal adult at 18. If they do not contest your decision, you can live wherever, but if they need to know where you are it is their legal right and responsibility to house you.
